Princess Bride Week: Iocaine Powder French Toast with Six Fingered Sausage

It doesn’t take a dizzying intellect to know a good breakfast when you see it. A traditional dish from the Guilder Frontier; these toasts are stuffed with an amazing blend of cream cheese, cinnamon, and Cointreau liqueur. Each slice is large enough to feed the brute squad but delicate enough for a princess to consume!

Princess Bride – Iocaine Powder French Toast with Six Fingered Sausage

4 Slices Thick Bread
2 Eggs
1 cup Milk
Pinch of Salt
4 tbsp Cream Cheese
1/8 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Cointreau
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
As much Powdered Sugar as you wish

Cut each slice of bread in half

Beat eggs, milk, and salt together

In a separate bowl mix together cream cheese, cinnamon, sugar, vanilla, and Cointreau

Spread one fourth (¼) of the cream cheese filling on four of the slice halves and then top with the other half

Dip and soak each sandwich into the egg-milk mixture; turning to allow each side to equally absorb the mixtures

In a buttered skillet, add sandwiches and fry each side slowly for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown

Dust powdered sugar over the top and serve with 6 pieces of grilled sausage
