Vampire Week: Blade’s Black Garlic Brownies

Blade

Just as you can catch more flies honey; you can catch more vampires with brownies. No more of the tedious work filling hollow point bullets with garlic. Now you can simple bake these amazing dessert brownies, leaving them on the windowsill to do all the work while you enjoy one with a tall glass of milk.

But we’re not just using any kind of garlic, were using the Holy Grail of garlics. Black garlic is not named for the black souls it will kill with each bit but for its sticky black appearance after approximately three weeks of fermenting a garlic clove in a dark humid location — like a crypt — and then dried for another week. This caramelized garlic creates a gooey, sticky, black as coal, but sweet, without the bad breath or acidic bite of fresh garlic. While it’s not easy to come by and is easiest to obtain by ordering online. But then again… some mother-bakers are always trying to ice-skate uphill
