Kitchen Overlord is a small press specializing in geek cookbooks. Whether your favorite fandom is Doctor Who, Tolkien, Steampunk, or more, we can help you throw a kick ass theme party!
If their cookbook is anywhere near as gorgeous as their Hannibal art book, it’s going to be beautifully gory and creepy. I can’t wait to see what they produce!
The Wood for Sheep book looks awesome! We love playing Settlers of Catan 🙂 and getting the hexagonal food plates and setting them up would be loads of fun!
An Unexpected Cookbook: The Unofficial Book of Hobbit Cookery will be my first hardback. After that, The Illustrated Geek Cookbook will also be in hardback. The rest are available in paperback and/or ebook formats.
Your question makes my day. That one is a passion project for me (since any reader of Kitchen Overlord can tell I have a somewhat crazy love of sculpting in bread.)
Right now, it’s targeted for the Christmas Season 2015.
I would love to see a vegan version of these, a chapter for every genre would be pretty cool approach. I love them all, but can’t invest that much money for cookbooks mostly full of recipes I won’t use.
Check out the index of my cookbooks, Patty! They’re broken down by dietary restrictions including vegan, vegetarian (octo-lavo), gluten free, and paleo. Close to 1/2 of the recipes in my Hobbit cookbook have in-text vegan variations and nearly 3/4 of it is vegetarian friendly. Vegan recipes are, by their nature, automatically also kosher and halal, so including a bunch of them is a great way for me to keep my cookbooks as inclusive as possible.
Thank you so much for making The Hobbit cookbook available on Kindle Unlimited! I wouldn’t have had the chance to read it any other way. So far I love it to pieces and I’ll definitely be getting a hard copy when I can afford to do so. I’m looking forward to reviewing this on my blog!
No need to wait for me to do it! There’s already a great Game of Thrones cookbook by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel called “A Feast of Ice and Fire.” She also wrote the new World of Warcraft cookbook. You should check it out!
You should totally make an Hannibal one, that would be awesome
Hannibal was totally on my future list, but somebody beat me to it.

Any update on Geek Breads? Is it supposed to be released Jan-Mar 2015 Winter or Nov-Dec 2015 Winter?

It would be really cool if you made a Game of thrones or Star Wars cook book I would definitely buy both!😊
