Edible Art: R’leh Easy Cthulhu Pot Pies
If hunger comes to you at night like the whisperer in darkness, don’t eat those elder things in the fridge. Instead, stuff these adorable little icons of the elder gods into the unquenchable pit of your belly along with a mountain of madness inducing mashed potatoes.
Recipe:
2 tubes refrigerated biscuits
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
1 large can cooked chunk chicken, drained
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/3 cup whole milk
1 tsp pepper
3 tbsp melted butter
1 egg
12 dried cherries
Mix the vegetables, chicken, soup, milk, pepper, and 2 tbsp butter in a saucepan.
Gently bring the mix to a simmer.
Brush the remaining 1 tbsp of melted butter over 6 cupcake tins.
Mash all your biscuits flat. Put six into the bottom of your buttered cupcake tins.
Spoon the filling equally between them. Put six more mashed biscuits on top of the waiting underworld demons of pot pie tastiness.
Cut remaining mashed biscuits into tentacle-like strips.
Arrange two cherries on each pot pie for your demon lord’s eyes.
Arrange two short, wide strips of dough above the eyes for eyebrows.
Arrange four to six long, narrow strips of dough so they dangle from where the horrible apparition’s mouth should be. Make sure they stretch a little past the edge of each cupcake mold.
Bake at 400F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve with alphabet soup, Absinthe, and an absolute belief in your arcane master’s abysmal arrival.
