Edible Art: Frelling Food Cubes
Whether you’re raiding a Peacekeeper ship or running from a half Scarran hybrid, these Food Cubes will keep you as well nourished as a Hynerian Dominar.
Frelling Food Cubes
1 cup dried Turkish apricots
½ cup unsalted cashews
¾ cup shredded unsweetened coconut
¼ cup coconut flour
½ cup almond flour
4 tbsp honey
2 tbsp melted coconut oil
½ tsp kosher salt
Line a square baking pan with parchment paper. Remind Chiana she can’t use any shiny papers she finds in Zhaan’s quarters.
Attach a food processor to your least favorite DRD and have it grind the cashews into small chunks.
Rescue the ground cashews before the DRD’s turn them into cashew butter.
To keep the little buggers from getting grumpy, let them go crazy grinding up the apricots.
Add everything but the cashews to the newly made apricot paste and keep processing until you have a sticky mess.
Ask Stark to mix the ground cashews and apricot paste together. He won’t notice it’s messy work.
Have him use his fingers to press the mix into the baking pan and pat it the surface down until flat.
Hide the pan in one of Moya’s coldest rooms. Leave it there for at least an hour.
Butter up D’Argo’s Qualta Blade and use it to cut the loaf into cubes.
If Rigel doesn’t find them, these will keep for up to one month in Moya’s cold room. If he does find them, they’ll last up to one hour.
